Material errors are corrected clearly. Developing stories are updated without pretending the first version never existed.
Corrections
A correction states what was wrong, supplies the accurate information and notes when the change was made. It remains attached to the story.
Updates
New reporting that changes the substance or interpretation of a story is recorded in its update log with a Central Time timestamp.
